our little family: Tsubasa (and friends) wallpapers
July 9, 2006 Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle by CLAMP is my favorite manga. The Tsubasa wallpapers here were created using scans from minitokyo.net, mostly courtesy of Marissa, one of the generous curators there. The other images here were originally scans from magazines or other illustrations. I've cleaned them up, removed text, eliminated page gaps, and repainted as needed, but mostly tried to stay faithful to the originals. All are at 2560 x 1024 dual-screen resolution.
Tsubasa 2560x1024 2.9M. From the Japanese hardcover edition's 7th volume. The far right side of the image is my hand-painted addition.
Tsubasa 2560x1024 1.6M. From the Japanese hardcover edition's 10th volume.
Tsubasa 2560x1024 2.0M. From the Japanese hardcover edition's 13th volume. The English translation hasn't made it this far yet so I'm curious to know just what's going on here.
Tsubasa 2560x1024 2.5M. From a scene in the 9th volume if I remember correctly. At the moment, this is my favorite wallpaper from the series.
Tsubasa 2560x1024 2.2M. Stitched together from a two-page spread.
RG Veda 2560x1024 3.0M. From CLAMP's first manga series, stitched together from a two-page spread. If William Blake had drawn manga I bet it would look something like this.
Twelve Kingdoms 2560x1024 1.0M. From one of my favorite anime shows. Pretty much entirely repainted by hand.
Touhou 2560x1024 1.3M. I don't know anything about this series, I just liked the image. The original scan looked to be from a magazine spread - I retouched over the lettering.
Ceres 2560x1024 2.9M. From an "Art of Ceres" book if I remember correctly. I enjoyed the manga series.
